We are leaders in hardwood flooring in San Diego and offer various options to suit your preferences.

Hardwood floors can easily last for over 25 years, unlike more affordable flooring options that need to be replaced every 10 years. Hardwood withstands wear and tear and performs exceptionally well in the warm climate of San Diego.

Hardwood floors are easy to maintain. Regular vacuuming and occasional mopping are all needed to keep them looking pristine.

Increases Property Value

Hardwood floors are a smart investment that pays off exceptionally when you plan to sell your home. On average, they increase the value of your San Diego home by 70% thanks to their durability and elegant look.

Hardwood floors go well with both traditional and modern interior styles. If you’re planning to upgrade your furniture or change the paint, hardwood floors will complement them.

Healthy Indoor Air Quality

Hardwood floors are hygienic and allergy-friendly because they don’t trap dust, allergens, and pet dander.

Types of Hardwood Flooring

Hardwood floors come in various types, such as:

  • Oak: Comes in two varieties — red and white oak — both of which have pronounced grain patterns and can seamlessly blend with traditional and contemporary interior styles. Oak has a high density, making it highly durable.
  • Cherry: Adds a touch of warmth and richness to a room with its warm hue. Cherry isn’t as dense as oak, so it’s slightly less durable.
  • Maple: Looks understated with a fine-grain pattern and light color. Maple is ideal for high-traffic areas like the living room because of its high density.
  • Walnut: Offers a rich look with pronounced grain patterns. Walnut is slightly less durable than oak and shows scratches more than lighter wood.
  • Hickory: Looks appealing with distinctive grain pattern and light to medium brown tones. Hickory resists scratches and dents exceptionally well, making it a perfect choice for busy households.
  • Birch: Looks similar to maple but at a more affordable price. Birch has fine-grain patterns and brings an airy feel to a room. It isn’t as dense as other hardwoods but withstands everyday wear and tear pretty well.
  • Mahogany: An exotic flooring option that looks beautiful with its reddish-brown hue and intricate grain pattern. Mahogany is durable and blends well with modern interiors.
  • Brazilian cherry: Looks beautiful with its reddish-brown hue and is the most durable of all hardwood floors. Brazilian cherry blends well with traditional and contemporary interior styles.

Hardwood Flooring Installation in San Diego

Hardwood floor installation is a complex process that’s best left to the pros. Unless you have flooring experience, there’s a high chance that you will install the planks incorrectly.

First, remove the old flooring, residue, and baseboard. Then vacuum the floor. Once done, there are three ways you can install hardwood floors:

Glue-down install method

It’s a cost-effective option where hardwood floors are clicked in place and secured with glue. Our pros usually don’t prefer this method unless you have concrete floors.

Nail-down install method

The floors are attached in place with nails. Once installed, the nails are hardly visible. This installation gives a perfect look, but you should install a plywood floor underneath to get a perfect look.

Click-lock install method

The floors are clicked together in place. Our pros usually prefer this method because it works in various cases regardless of whether you want to install over cement or a floor with radiant heat.
